Cutting the key: 

IMPORTANT – READ BEFORE CUTTING

  • The key ‘blade’ is precision-machined key brass (not titanium), so it cuts easily like a standard key and prevents excess wear on your vehicle's locks and ignition.

  • It must be cut to your vehicle’s original key code only.

  • Copy cutting from an old key is not recommended and will void the keys warranty.

Worn keys transfer inaccuracies when copied, which can cause poor operation, damage to your locks, and may permanently damage or cause failure to the new key.

 


Correct Key Cutting Process:

1. Obtain your original key code
Have your key decoded by a locksmith or retrieve the code via the OEM blank, door lock cylinder, or VIN.
2. Test on a cheap blank first (optional step but recommended)
Cut a low-cost generic key using the confirmed code and test it in all locks.
3. Cut your PSI Custom Key
Once verified, cut your Pro Spec Imports key using the same confirmed key code.

  • The key 'blade' is made from normal car key nickel-brass alloy, this means no increased wear on your locks and ignition. This means you can take it to any Qualified Locksmith for cutting like a normal key blank. It has been coated Black in a special Cerakote Elite coating, so when the blade is cut it will reveal the brass colour underneath.
  • Because of the rarity and expense of this key we recommend only cutting from the 'code' and never 'copy cutting' from the old key because this can cause issues. Get your old key 'decoded' first by the locksmith (or find key code printed on the OEM key blank or door lock cylinder) then cut a generic blank with the 'code' and test it on your car, once the 'code' is confirmed correct you can cut the new key using the 'code'.

1. "No Signature" Option

  • How it works: The courier will leave the parcel in your letterbox or at your front door without requiring a signature.
  • Your Responsibility: You must collect the parcel immediately. The courier's "Delivered" scan is considered final proof of delivery.
  • Risk: We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after the tracking shows "Delivered."

 

2. "Signature Required" Option

  • How it works: The courier will attempt to get a signature at your address. If you are not home, they will leave a card with instructions for pickup or re-delivery. If the item is damaged on delivery, you must sign it DAMAGED or refuse delivery. 
  • Contactless Delivery: Please be aware that some couriers, following their own health or safety policies, may opt for a "contactless" signature. This means they may knock, confirm you are home, and then sign on your behalf to minimize contact.

 

Address & Order Details

Please double-check your delivery details before confirming your order. We cannot guarantee that address changes can be made after your order has been processed.

  • Incorrect Address: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the item.
  • Military Addresses (APO/FPO): If you use a Military Box (APO, FPO, or similar) as your shipping address, you assume all risk for the delivery. These addresses often do not support standard tracking or signature confirmation, which invalidates shipping insurance. While issues are rare, please be aware that we cannot cover lost or missing items shipped to these addresses.

 

IMPORTANT: International Orders & Duties

All orders are currently shipped from our facility in New Zealand.

As the importer, you are responsible for any duties, taxes, or import fees charged by your country's customs office, with one specific exception:

  • For US Customers DDP (Pre-Paid Duties): We offer a "US DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)" shipping option at checkout. This is the only option that allows you to pre-pay all US tariffs and customs fees. By selecting this, you are guaranteed to have no extra costs or delays upon delivery.
