Centre Cap Fitting Guide

Installation Tips — Professional Installation Recommended

  • Repeat the following steps for all 4 wheels.
  • The wheels must be removed for installation.
  • IMPORTANT: If hubcentric rings are fitted to the wheel or the vehicle’s centre hub spigot, they must be removed before fitting the centre caps.
  • Test fit the centre cap onto the vehicle’s centre hub spigot first. Make sure it locates correctly on the spigot and sits flush against the hub face with no gap.
  • If fitting the aluminium centre caps, apply a small amount of anti-seize to the vehicle’s centre hub spigot where the centre cap locates. Use only a light coating to help prevent the cap from binding or seizing to the hub over time.
  • If the axle nut split pin is bent over the end of the axle, it may interfere with the centre cap. If required, carefully bend and position the pin so it follows the circumference of the axle instead.
  • Apply a small amount of the included grease, or Vaseline, to the O-ring before installing the centre cap into the wheel.
  • Fit the centre cap from the inside of the wheel. These are designed to be a snug fit, so make sure the O-ring is lubricated first. Push on the outer edges of the centre cap only — not the centre — and press it in evenly until fully seated.
  • Check that the centre cap sits flush with the wheel face and is not protruding.
  • Once the centre caps are fitted, reinstall the wheels. The centre cap locates the wheel hubcentrically onto the vehicle’s hub, helping to centre the wheel more accurately and reduce possible vibration.
  • FINAL CHECK: Before tightening the wheel and driving the vehicle, make sure the wheel is fully seated against the hub face with no interference, binding, or clearance issues.
