        Installation Instructions:

        What you need:

        • Medium Phillips screwdriver

        • Small flat-head screwdriver

        • Long-nose pliers

        Installation Guide

        1. Remove the OEM leather armrest lid: Open the console lid and remove the five Phillips screws from the underside, then lift off the top cover.
        2. Close the remaining portion of the lid, locate the two small metal hinge pins, and remove them with long-nose pliers. 
        3. Locate the lid retaining arm and the small circlip that holds it in place. Using a small flathead screwdriver, remove the circlip to release the arm, then remove the remaining portion of the lid completely.
        4. The remaining arm can be left inside the console beneath the new carbon armrest - this will be hidden and does not affect function. If desired, secure it with Blu Tack to prevent movement.
        5. Prepare the mounting surface (IMPORTANT): Thoroughly clean all bonding areas using wax and grease remover or isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue.
        6. Install the carbon armrest: Peel the backing from the pre-applied 3M tape (gently warm with a hair dryer in cold conditions), position carefully, then press firmly into place and hold for 30 seconds to ensure proper adhesion.

        Alternative Installation (Velcro Option): For removable access, install using high-strength Velcro instead of the 3M tape. Apply Velcro strips to the mounting surfaces after cleaning, allowing the armrest to be quickly removed and reinstalled as needed.

        Tips for caring for carbon: All of our carbon is cleared with a UV protectant clear coat. To keep your carbon looking beautiful long term it helps to wax with a UV protectant wax like Autoglym HD Wax (its also what McLaren recommend for protecting the carbon on their supercars), this will give it extra protection from the sun and help to keep it looking good for years to come.
